In the past year Jill Cordes has climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro, ridden a camel into the Sahara in Timbuktu, and ran both the New York City and Boston Marathons. She is no ordinary ”host/reporter”.

What began more than a decade ago as a reporting stint for a local NBC affiliate in South Dakota has evolved into a flourishing career for this highly energetic and passionate woman, who happens to have a slew of success hosting shows from HGTV's My First Place, to Food Network's The Best Of, and recently www.petstyle.com (America's first broadband network dedicated to all things pets). Her television adventures have led her to play golf with actor and restaurateur Bill Murray, dine atop a glacier in Alaska, and dance with leading man Morgan Freeman.

Since her debut in the cable world, her enthusiasm and energy have shined through. She has garnered press attention in newspapers and magazines all over the country, including an appearance on Oprah.

Jill is currently doing reports for local newscasts around the country called Brighter Living. Here she gives ideas on how to be more green and reduce your carbon footprint, as well as health and wellness tips. These reports currently run in 60+ markets, including top markets like LA, DC, Miami, and Houston, to name a few.

In her spare time she enjoys traveling to places off the beaten path, writing, reading and running. She and her husband, a filmmaker and screenwriter, live in Brooklyn with their cat, Wayne Sanchez.
